Glória Matos da Costa

President 

 

Gloria Costa

Glória is a portuguese Communication Designer, with a Degree in Communication Design from the Fine Arts Faculty of Lisbon University and lives and works currently in Berlin.

 

She is President of the Young Crew Portugal since she organized and planned the event creACTivity Workshop Lisboa 2010:

and since January 2011 she is also member of the Management Board of the International Project Management Association - Young Crew, being Head of Marketing: http://www.ipma.ch/crew/pages/default.aspx

 

She actively collaborates with several international Young Crew Associations, organizing and moderating workshops and events in a national and international level, like the creACTivity Workshops.

Glória is actively present in several initiatives: she is part of the core team of http://www.Coaching4Development.org - a not-for-profit project, created in 2009 by an international team of young people within the International Project Management Association (IPMA), being responsible for Marketing and Communication; with other IPMA Young Crew initiative - Global Leadership Initiative, she is responsible for Social Media Management. She is also part of the core team members of http://www.SocialDesignSite.com

 

She worked in Portugal as a graphic designer promoting dialogue between various cultures, ethnicities and religions with the ACIDI - High Commission for Immigration and Intercultural Dialogue: http://www.acidi.gov.pt/ 

 

She has created the content and designed the graphic layout for a set of activities on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, combining them into a user friendly and free toolkit: http://www.vap.org.uk/vap-s-toolkit-on-the-un-millennium

 

Glória has studied at Hasso-Plattner Institut - HPI – School of Design Thinking (http://www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/d_school/home.html?L=1), in Potsdam, and is co-founder and part of a project managers freelancers incubator: WOW - World of Workshops (http://www.worldofworkshops.org/), organizing and managing her events and moderating her workshops.

Cláudia Coimbra 

Vice President & Partnerships

 

Claudia Coimbra

Cláudia has a degree in Social Policy at the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences – Technical University of Lisbon. She spent two years in Salamanca, Spain, where she finished her degree and completed an internship. During the nine monthes of internship at Internacional Amnesty in Salamanca, she was responsible for events organization, media department and menaging campaigns such as No más violencia contra las mujeres (No more violence against women).

 

Back to Portugal, she is currently working in a health center on a Intercultural Mediation Project coordinated by the High Commission for Immigration and Intercultural Dialogue.

 

Cláudia is (pro)active and has experience as speaker in debates and seminars, she’s constantly developing her skills and knowledge in diferent areas (such as first aid and human rights, among others).

 

She is part of some Younth Associations, and since her participation in the creACTivity Workshop Lisboa 2010: http://www.youngcrew.de/web/creactivity_lisbon_2010_1283532460, she got actively involved and is part of the core team of Young Crew Portugal, being the Vice-President and responsible for Partnerships.

 

Specially interested in Human Rights she is a dreamer who, above all, believes in people and social changes.

Rute Candeias

Internal Trainings

 

Rute Candeias

Rute has a degree in Industrial Design at IADE (Instituto de Artes Visuais, Design e Marketing). She has a postgraduate Design for All by IST - Instituto Superior Técnico.

 

She has always considered design as a tool through which we can contribute positively to society. She worked as a ceramics and custom furniture designer, developing some eco-design and universal design projects.

 

Currently she is developing projects with a designers group, Ódesign, designing products in partnership with disadvantaged groups from Óbidos’ city county. 

 

In 2010 she started to be involved with Young Crew Portugal by helping organizing the creACTivity Workshop Lisboa 2010: http://www.youngcrew.de/web/creactivity_lisbon_2010_1283532460Rute is now responsible for the Internal Training of Young Crew Portugal.

Tiago Gonçalves Nunes 

Events planning

 

Tiago Nunes

Tiago is a product designer, graduated in Equipment Design by FBAUL - Fine Arts University of Lisbon (2006), and Post Graduated in Strategic Design and Innovation by ISEG - School of Economics and Management of Lisbon (2010).

 

As a professional designer since 2006, he started his career as an intern at the FSSMGN architects to collaborate on the interior design project of the Hotel Altis Belém.

 

From 2008 to 2010 Tiago worked for SUSDESIGN – design for Sustainability studio, on the strategic development of the CORQUE® Design Brand, being responsible for product development and production coordination. At the same time, continued to develop his personal projects that lead him to several awards and recognitions. In 2008 was the first Portuguese ever selected for the prestigious BIO.21 – Biennal of Industrial Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia, achievement that was repeated in 2010 while being selected for the BIO.22.

 

Interested by the strategic and innovation Design driven approach, Tiago is currently studying Design Thinking at D-School – HPI School of Design Thinking, University of Potsdam (http://www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/d_school/home.html?L=1), where is developing new innovative concepts in multidisciplinary teams for companies such as SAP AG, the world leader on software business solutions.
