APOGEP is the portuguese chapter of IPMA and is enrolled in the development and growth of project management as a major profession with a significant role in modern society Our association was born in 1998 as a national chapter of IPMA (International Project Management Association), a world reference in project management.
APOGEP's appearence is justified by the raising needs of organizations and managers of one institution that could support their interest in the acquisition of modern management techniques and metodologies as well as the certification of project managers professionals. |

The focus of the work of IPMA is to extend the work of its National Associations at the national level into the international level.
Currently IPMA comprises over thirty National Associations representing approximately 20,000 members primarily in Europe but also in Africa and Asia. They promote project management professionalism under specific cultural requirements, in all types of projects. Moreover, institutional contacts to National Associations in North America, Australia and South Africa ensure a true global dimension to the work of IPMA. |
